We humans have a tendency to impose on nature. Mr Smith in the Matrix even went so far that the only other living organism whose behaviour parallelled humans' was a virus. So when nature and a human invention like the bow tie Andrea merge with added value as a result, we'd like to think it makes us feel slightly better about ourselves.
